Artist Contract

License and copyright

The artist retains all copyright ownership in the submitted music, masters, lyrics, composition, artwork, branding, and promotional assets.
The artist grants Blonde Cat Radio and Blonde Cat Publications a non-exclusive licence for up to two years from the date of acceptance to host, stream, publicly perform, publicly communicate, schedule, advertise, market, display, and promote the accepted music and approved assets in connection with radio broadcasting, website use, YouTube, social media, and related campaign activity.

Artist obligations

  • The artist must own or validly control the rights required for the submitted music and promotional material.
  • The artist must provide one 1-minute version and one 3-minute version of the same song when requested.
  • The artist must provide accurate information and lawful promotional material.
  • The artist must not submit infringing, defamatory, unlawful, misleading, or unauthorised material.

Commercial terms

  • Music revenue is split 70/30 in the artist's favour.
  • Virtual concert ticket profit after promotion costs is split 60/40 in Blonde Cat Radio's favour.
  • Tier pricing is displayed on the website and may change for future campaigns.
  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 include the professional album cover.
  • No guarantee is made regarding airplay count, revenue, audience growth, or commercial outcome.

Protection clauses

  • Blonde Cat Radio and Blonde Cat Publications may reject, remove, pause, edit scheduling, or discontinue any submission for editorial, legal, technical, reputational, commercial, or operational reasons.
  • The artist indemnifies Blonde Cat Radio and Blonde Cat Publications against claims, losses, damages, and costs arising from rights breaches, unlawful submissions, or false statements by the artist.
  • To the fullest extent allowed by law, Blonde Cat Radio and Blonde Cat Publications exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and do not guarantee commercial outcomes.
